Gaajar ka Halwa, i.e. Carrot Halwa is an Indian sweet dish, amazingly simple yet delicious. Learn this recipe in simple steps mentioned below.
Gaajar (Carrots) - 5 big, peeled and grated
Sugar - 4 tbsp
Ghee - 2 tbsp
Milk - 2 cups
Khoya - 1 tbsp (optional)
Dry fruits, for garnishing (Optional)
Method for Gaajar Ka Halwa:
Heat ghee in a pressure pan. Add the grated carrots and saute for sometime.
Add sugar and mix well. Add the milk and khoya and mix further.
Cover the pressure pan with the lid and take 3 whistles.
Allow the pressure to cool down, open and transfer the contents in a serving bowl.
Can serve hot or chilled.
