But when one practices yogasanas, the body does not just strengthen from outside but the internal parts too get activated and one gains both inner as well as external strength.

3. With regular practice of yogasanas one can improve his or her resistance or immunity towards diseases which may not be possible with other exercises.

4. When one practices exercises or sports he/she may require large space or many such people to carry on with the so called exercises, but yogasanas on the other hand need very little space and can be performed alone.

5. Body flexibility or elasticity is known to increase by regular practice of yogasanas. Additionally the body is known to get more active with regular practice of yoga. But with other exercises there is possibility to experience a general stiffness in muscles. Also one may experience sprains or muscle-pulls.

8. Other exercises are known to tire or exhaust us. But practicing yogasanas make us active. This is because the other exercises such as working out make us spend a lot of energy and thus exhaust us completely. But yogasanas on the other hand relax our muscles and thus are more of a non-violent exercises.
