Mushroom and Cheese in Puff Pastry Recipe

Ingredients for Mushroom and Cheese in Puff Pastry Recipe: 

Button mushrooms - 200 gm, chopped
Onion - 2, finely chopped
Butter - 25 gm
Garlic - 3/4 flakes, finely chopped
White wine - 20 ml
Pepper powder, as required
Cheddar cheese - 100 gm, grated
Egg yolk - 1, beaten
Puff pastry sheets - 100 gm
Thyme, as required
Salt, as required

Method for Mushroom and Cheese in Puff Pastry Recipe:

Heat a pan and melt butter, add garlic and onions and saute well.

Add to this thyme and white wine. Let it cook until dry.

Add the mushrooms and continue to cook till done.

Add salt, pepper and cheese. Mix well and then remove from heat.

Roll out the puff pastry sheets to around 2 cm thickness.

Place the mushroom mixture, around 1 teaspoonful and place another sheet over it. Cut it with
the round biscuit cutter, taking care that the mushroom mixture is right in the middle.

Brush the puff pastry with egg yolk.

In a pre-heated oven bake the puff pastries for around 10 minutes at 200 degrees C.

Serve hot.
