Foods that you should eat in monsoons

Foods eaten in rainy season:

Eating seasonal fruits in monsoons is recommended. Do eat fruits like litchis, bananas, apples, chickoos, pomegranates, pears, sweet limes. But do take care of washing them thoroughly before eating.

Vegetables that are recommended during monsoons are pumpkins, french beans, potatoes, bottle gourd, ladies finger, tomatoes, bitter gourd, brinjal etc. Do take care of washing them well though.

One should consume a lot of turmeric, ginger, corainder, pepper and cumin seeds by adding them in your daily foods.

Try to eat in short meals during monsoons for good digestion. Never overeat.

Including oats and oatmeal in daily meals like breakfast can be very helpful.

It is said that use of bitter things in monsoon keeps diseases at bay, so best food for rainy season include lot of bitter things like bitter gourd, fenu greek seeds, basil leaves, etc in your food.

Bittergourd

Cook mild dals by using moong dal other than tuvar dals or chana dals. Moong dals are safer options for people who suffer from gas and acidity problems.

Eating early and at proper times help a lot.

Include vegetables like corn in your daily meals.
