Chocolate Khari Puris Recipe

Ingredients for Chocolate Khari Puris Recipe:

Flour - 1 1/2 cup
Sugar - 3 tbsp
Cocoa Powder - 2 tbsp
Milk - 2 tsp
Salt - 2 tsp
Ghee - 2 tbsp
Ghee, for frying

Ingredients for creamed layer:

Cornflour - 3 tbsp
Ghee - 2 tbsp

Method for Chocolate Khari Puris Recipe:

Sieve the flour and rub 2 tbsp ghee into it. Add to it sugar, salt and enough water to bind into stiff dough.

Divide the dough into 2 equal parts. Mix the cocoa powder with milk and add to one part of dough. Mix well and bind further. Roll each dough separately into 25 cm chapati.

Place the white chapati on a plate. Spread the cornflour-ghee mixture evenly on this chapati. Place the brown chapati on the top of the white chapati. Spread rest of the cornflour - ghee mixture on the top of brown chapati. Roll both together into a long cylindrical shape. Cut this roll into slices.

Roll out each slices into thin puris and deep fry these puris in ghee till done.
