Is corn a fruit or vegetable or a grain?

That's what everyone keeps wondering whether a corn can be considered as a vegetable, a grain or is it a fruit?
Though botanically it may be considered as a grain, the fact is a sweet corn is a vegetable when it is usually picked up immature and eaten. But when it matures fully and is dried out, it becomes a grain. No scope for fruit i guess..
