Tofu Seekh Kebab Recipe

An Indian starter made with a twist by adding Tofu (soya paneer) as an healthy alternative to Cottage cheese (paneer).

Ingredients for Tofu Seekh Kebab Recipe:

Tofu (Soya Paneer) - 200 gm, grated
Gram dal (Chana dal) - 50 gms
White bread - 3 slices, crust removed
Onion - 1, small, finely chopped
Ginger - 1 ", grated
Garam Masala - 1/2 tsp
Salt, as required
Coriander leaves - 2 tbsp, chopped
Green chili - 2, chopped finely
Oil or butter - 2 tbsp

Method for Tofu Seekh Kebab Recipe:

Boil the chana dal for a while till it is slightly cooked.

In a large bowl mix grated tofu with chana dal, grated ginger, white bread, onion, coriander leaves, green chili, salt and garam masala. Mix well.

Put the whole tofu mix in a mixer and mix well.

Clean and brush skewers with oil. Put the mince over the skewers and brush back with little oil.

Cook on a tandoor or a skillet until done.

Serve the Tofu Seekh Kebab with mint chutney or tomato sauce.
